Richmond-based Mondial Assistance announces the results of its month of service program. In all, more than 100 associates participated in on-site and off-site volunteer opportunities, including collecting more than 600 pounds of food for Central Virginia Food Bank; assembling 80 care packages for International Hospital for Children; assembling 100 gift bags for Freedom House; and performing home repairs for ElderHomes.

Access America has been named "Business Services/Insurance Partner of the Year" by Ensemble Travel Group. Ensemble members in the U.S. recognized outstanding supplier performance in 11 different awards categories during its 2009 international conference held at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Canada.

First-ever CASMA community outreach reception, sponsored by Mondial Assistance, raises funds for Miracle Flights for Kids

Mondial Assistance and the Computerized Airline Sales and Marketing Association (CASMA) announced today that a reception held at CASMA's fall conference has raised enough money for Miracle Flights for Kids to provide transportation for eight children in need of life-saving specialized medical treatment. The event marks the first time a fundraiser has been held at a CASMA conference.

According to a new survey released by Mondial Assistance, holiday travelers predict they'll be out in numbers that rival last year's exodus and are taking advantage of travel deals and other dollar stretchers in order to make holiday dreams a reality.

Mondial Assistance Joins Global Partnership for Humanitarian Aid

Mondial Assistance announces its participation in a new global fundraising initiative, aptly named: MASSIVEGOOD. The aim of MASSIVEGOOD is to encourage consumers to make small, voluntary financial contributions (around $2, for example) when they make a travel-related purchase. The funds will be used by UNITAID, a partner organization of the World Health Organization, to combat diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.

Mondial Assistance has been recognized by the travel industry's most influential national trade publication for innovation in travel technology. Travel Weekly has presented the company with the silver Magellan Award in the Online Travel Services Category for its AgentMax travel agent software. Mondial Assistance is the only travel insurance company represented in this year's crop of recipients.
